Menopause 8 Week Course

With so much information about menopause on the internet, it can be overwhelming to try to navigate your own menopause journey. I have created an 8 week course for women who want to be educated about what exercise is best for the menopausal years and helps you adapt your lifestyle to make the journey a little easier. 

 

Over the eight weeks, we will cover the definition and simple science of menopause, as well as what causes and what helps symptoms such as hot flushes, itchy skin, bloating, aching joints, belly fat (and many of the other 40+ symptoms). We will also look at diet, movement, sleep and stress management. By finding out what helps or hinders and why, you will truly understand what is happening to your body and feel ready to manage the changes.

 

Are you unsure how to start resistance training for the peri/post menopause?

You will learn how to feel more confident doing resistance exercise and learn how to stay strong and healthy as you age. Are you scared of exercising because you have prolapse or pelvic floor issue?

Do you feel you know enough about HRT?

This course will give you the lowdown and help you prepare for a conversation with your menopause doctor or clinic to get the most out of the appointment.​

 

Are you gaining belly fat?

Have you found your usual weight-loss tricks aren't working? We look at how to take a different approach to feeling like yourself again.

 

Have you heard you need to lift heavy weights but don’t know where to start?

During the 12-week course, you will learn why specific exercises work better and how to approach them safely in a way that works for you. We will also explore other forms of appropriate exercise.

 

Do you feel isolated on your menopause journey?

Most importantly, you will meet others who have similar questions to you (and maybe a few answers!) giving you support and a safe place to talk about menopause. By the end of this course, you will become an expert on your own menopause and make friends while you do it!

When?

  • Small group (maximum of 10) live sessions 60 minutes a week ​over 8 weeks every Monday evening. 

  • 1-1 session 60 minutes a week over 8 weeks when is convenient with you. 

 

 

Where?

Small group – Live Sessions over zoom

1-1  Live session over zoom or in person 

 

How Will Each Week Work?

Sessions will consist of group discussions and occasional practical activities covering a different topic each week. After each session, you will receive weekly handouts and notes via email stored in the online course section. 

 

How Much? 

Small Group 8 live sessions – £64 

1-1 8 sessions live – £80

1-1 8 sessions in person £92
